What is clearing?

Clearing offers you a chance to find a full-time undergraduate course to start in September. It's a great option if you don't get the grades you were hoping for on results day, youÌýchange your mind about the course or university you've already applied to or you decide to go to university at the last minute.Ìý

How to prepare for Clearing

  • Research courses: you need to make sure that the course you pick is something ²â´Ç³Ü’l±ô enjoy doing for three or more years, and that it could lead to a career that ²â´Ç³Ü’l±ô find fulfilling! So, whether you’re looking at courses for the first time or if you’ve had a change of heart, it’s importantÌýto do your research.

  • Research universities: your course is important, but it’s just as important to study at an institutionÌýwhere you feelÌýsupported and encouraged in your studies. Don't rush into applying to any university that has spaces available, instead, think about where you can see yourself studying.

  • Be prepared: make sure you have the phone numbers of the universities you want to call, their opening times and the names of the courses you want to apply, so you're all good to go.ÌýSign up for updates to be the first to find out everything you need ahead of results day. Plus, make sure you know when and where you can collect your results on the day.
