Translated documents
The UK Border Agency (UKVI) requires aÌýfully certified original translationÌýfor each document you provide that is not in English or Welsh.

If you're making an application in the UK, the translation must:
- be made by a professional translator or translation company
- include details of the translator or translation company credentials
- include confirmation from the translator that it is an accurate translation of the original document
- include the date of the translation
- include the original signature of the translator or an authorised official of the translation companyÌý
If you're making an application outside of the UK, the translation must :Ìý
- be made by a professional translator or translation companyÌý
- include confirmation from the translator that it is an accurate translation of the original documentÌý
- include the date of the translation
- include the translator's full name and signature,Ìýor the full name and signature of an authorised official of the translation company
- include the translator/translation company's contact detailsÌý
If your translation does not meet all the requirements, even if it is just one point, then you must have a new translation made. Your visa application can be refused if the translation does not meet the requirements.
