MA Acting
For the MA Acting course, auditioning is a two-stage process - Initial and Recall.
This helps to ensure that we give you a fair opportunity and we have the best information on which to base our choice of candidates.
You can find out more information about what the auditions involve and how to prepare below.
Please note: The one year MA Acting is a fast track industry led course and we receive a high number of applicants each year for each place. Please note that we are not able to give feedback on a your initial audition, and during your audition you may be asked about your prior theatrical education and experience.
Initial audition
On receipt of your application form and payment of UCAS Conservatoire application and audition fee, you will be required to send in an initial audition recording. You will be sent a communication which will detail how to submit a YouTube audition recording link.
Recall audition
The recall audition can present in two options.
Option one – Home students and any overseas students who wish to attend a live recall day.
This consists of movement and voice workshops, delivering two monologues, and a song.
Option two – for international students not resident in the UK or available for the live recall.
You will be invited to an online recall with the Course Director, where you will present your monologues again and be interviewed for the course.
